Chir Chir Fusion Chicken Factory - Korean Fried Chicken That You MUST TRY

It is finally here! The famous fried chicken restaurant from Korea has finally arrived in Singapore with their first outlet located in Somerset. It is evident that they are specialized in chicken, but it's the unique combination of sauces and toppings that makes Chir Chir so special.

BLUE SKY TOK TOK ($14.90)
When you order this drink, the staff will present a glass jar of green grape flavoring with mint leaves and sliced lemons. A blue lemonade is then manually carbonated and poured into the jar.

The fizzy lemonade was very refreshing and sweet, with a nice touch of freshness from the herbs. Although taste wise it's good, it comes with a hefty price. Some might consider getting the alcoholic version for an additional four dollars, where Soju is added.

Cute utensils designed in the shape of chicken feet to replace the use of hands. Simple yet innovative.

NEST SNOW CHICKEN ($32.90)
At first I was taken aback by the price, but then realize of the huge portions that were meant to be shared with large groups of family or friends. I was more shocked by the combination of spicy cajun chicken tenders with whipped cream and sweet potato puree?

The freshly whipped cream felt redundant and the sweet potato puree hidden beneath the pile of chicken tasted weird and sweet, that should best be left on its own as a side dish. The mildly spicy chicken tenders however, was succulent and had a nice crunchy exterior. I enjoyed the combination of the chicken with the rich cream sauce and shaved cheese.

GARLICKY CHICKEN ($28.90)
The fried chicken was juicy, succulent and glazed with their special soy-sauce that give it that luscious umami flavor. Sprinkled with generous amount of fried garlic, chives and almonds to give it that crunch and robust flavor.

Out of the two, this has to be the better choice with its glistening and crispy exterior, rich and intense flavored sauce, as well as a juicier meat compared to chicken tenders. It comes with a mixture of white and dark meat, and just like most menu items here, has a huge portion that is meant to be shared in large groups.
